Just peachy...thanks for asking. Actually am studying (or should be) for the bar at the moment. I give myself even odds on passing...But anyway, posting will be sporadic for obvious reasons. Just wanted to check in and see the new place (while I don't know all the details of why you all left--been out of the loop forever--this site looks great).

Alas, no sex stories. Seasons change. Decided I wanted to live to see 30. MR, I am sure you will find me perfectly boring these days, but hopefully somewhat palatable.

Still think that Roger Dodger was an utterly miserable movie--real or not. Opening scene was great, but it was all downhill from there.

Yes. I for one was pondering the cruel fact that even for women as beautiful as Ashley and Charlize, the choice comes down to making either one's calves or one's ankles look better in a photo, because obviously one cannot do both.

Thank god that sucking in one's tummy does not cause one's ass to puff out -- that could drive a person (not me, of course) to despair.

"High Society" will go down in history as a great crime perpetrated against Cole Porter. Porter didn't translate well to movies, but there's no excuse for "High Society," given the talent that was available at the time.

The song you're thinking of was "Well, Did You Evah," and it was indeed one of the only bright spots.

Competing for "low spot" would be the completely flat "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" number, Bing trading fours with Louis Armstrong on a tune that purported to be about jazz but seemed not to have been influenced by the art form of the same name, and a rather maudlin Bing rendition of "True Love." Oh, and the long stretches of acting between the musical numbers.

I've just recalled that the Bing/Armstrong number was entitled "Now You Has Jazz," which pretty much sums up everything that's wrong with Bing singing with Armstrong.

For those of you who grew up in San Diego in the mid 1980s, you may remember a comedy program on Channel 8 called "San Diego at Large"

One of Larry Himmell's skits was Biff and Skippy. Mr. Rockwell was Skippy.

If you've never seen the show, or aren't from southern california, you won't understand it, at all.

I think I said 300 pixels, but I'm too lazy to go back and look. At any rate, file size isn't as important as pixel dimensions and 300 pixels wide is plenty big.

I will take what I wrote in that avatar resizing faq and turn it into a separate FAQ on image resizing in general (when I get a chance).

He'll be okay. He's pretty, so if he can't get another legal job, he can always--assuming he keeps his mouth shut so he doesn't wreck things by speaking and has the requisite skill set--be a man-ho. :)
