Right, not offended; I'm absolutely as shallow as the next person when it comes to looks/body. But there're lots of good looking in-shape people around at almost any age IMHO. What kind of slugs do you folks hang around with?

So spare me the cliche about the insecure man looking for an empty headed bimbo. IMHO they are looking for a sex pot and don't care if she is younger or older.

You guys are saying the same thing for all intents and purposes. A guy wants a sex pot, bc he wants to fuck and have it be good. He wants to fuck bc it feels good. Feeling good makes him feel young. Brains are irrelevant in this equation bc men are visual and brains dont play a part in that (yes, I know this is bullshit bc brains can make you better looking, but I am going with say first impressions or fantasies of chicks you dont know like SD's front desk girl). THis also works with the basic assumption that younger women have better bods than older women. SOmeone said that the ladies stop working out after 35 or whatever and SD's description of Beatrice the spinster has her with a fat ass while Meredith the hot young blonde has a tight ass. It could be vice versa but SD didnt assume it that way, and the asses didnt need mentining at all, but SD wanted to underscore the point that the Merediths have better bods than the Beatrices.

so, basically everyone agrees.

Oh for Christ's Fucking Sake...

If I had a nickel for every older woman or angry spinster who ripped older guys who fucked younger women apart as insecure or pathetic, I'd have a 600 SL. Its the reverse of the argument made by unsuccessful men that women are whores because they'll fuck ugly men with money.

Look, old guys fuck young women because they can. If I offer you a weather beaten sedan or a brand new convertible, which are you going to take? This entire discussion has avoided out of politeness explaining exactly how selective men select mates - 1. Looks (if you ain't got em, you ain't attracting anyone); 2. Brains (If you're dumb, most guys will still fuck you, but probably not date you for long); 3. Spark (Chemistry, etc...).

Anyone who offers any hierarchy or argument that suggests looks aren't the threshold or that they should not be the threshold betrays a naivete so deep they are simply unqualified to discuss dating, etc...

No, 'cuz I'm gonna die too, except I won't have some 20-something babe under me while I do it.

Perhaps you should try dating lawyers who don't work at big firms with obscene billables targets. 'Cause some of us get to go these places called 'gyms'...

Out of touch. (Yes, double meanings.) And, likely so for a while more.

Life is good. And, contrary to confused thought, "good" doesn't mean it makes me feel young. It makes me feel . . . just . . . good.

Well, certainly not in your case.

Glad to see you have the common sense to wear head protection when you are out paddling on Lake Holierthanthouawaka. But don't they give you time to take off the suit?

That's just dumb. I would never wear that tie with that hat.

The Office

Ok, caught the first three episodes last night. The Gareth character is great! I've known more than one guy like him during my pre-law job days. Corrupted by power that they don't have.

(and not banging hot young things either)

Also enjoyed the Dosteyevsky trivia conversations between David and the smart new guy (can't remember his name). And the stapler fights between Tim and Gareth.

Thanks for the show tip, FB...
