I think it was the concept of war in general, and in particular, any war that the US is involved in.

I love him. Hell I was trying to buy his old shoes, you know once the new models come out, and Runner's World told him to go spend $150 on the new air-shox-springback-gel insoles. I almost had it worked out when I realized he wears a size 8.:(

In my mind, liberal has taken on a whole new meaning. Maybe I'm confusining it with "far left" or "radical left" but I view them as basically the same.

I do not put ACLU folks in this category. Believe it or not, I tend to agree with the ACLU in most cases, though I think they have gotten certain issues wrong in certain circumstances, like the free exercise setting.

Isn't it pretty to think so. Well, tell Jeb to keep looking - I'm sure he'll find something!

his dead wife's wishes
That's my problem with this thing. How do we know. It was a he said she said. I don't see her wishes being clear.

In the aftermath I had a discussion with my wife about this. I said I wanted a feeding tube from now until technology caught up with whatever I had and could bring me back. Or I want to die of old age in a shitty nursing home trying.

She doesnt like this posture, for a number of reasons. I have a no living will yet (that she knows about). She has 2 million reasons to lie about what my wishes were, short of other evidence. That would be impossible though. Like Mike Shiavo, I'm sure she will stick to pure motives.

Not me. I was protesting Bush's Iraq war specifically. I didn't attend them all, though, so maybe you're thinking of a protest I didn't make.

Some of the fastest runners I ever faced were the highschool kids. What's the Euro-style cross country race out Palatine-way in early December? Or just go over to Montrose. They will smoke you. (and I'm not talking boystown style).

Oh, I got dusted by a group of them on the lakefront. I don't get passed very often, so it was humbling to have five 17-yr olds run right by me.

Sweetie, they had a trial. The factfinder listened to the evidence and found that her wishes were clear. You just don't agree with the results -- kinda like the way that the manager of the East Jesus Piggly-Wiggly keeps telling me that he knows that the guy in the overnight cleaning crew was playing chair hockey when he hurt his back, but the worker's comp judge found that he was hurt while lifting a mop bucket.
