ETA there are stories of owners on particularly iconic streets in LA going outside and turning on the lawn sprinklers when they saw a camera crew. According to legend, a PA would carry a roll of Benjamins for the "favor" of turning them off for the day, and also not standing on the sidewalk thanks very much, etc. If you were in the habit of hanging stained sheets out your window, maybe you could have wet your beak a little, yes?

I thought that NY had a statute giving people rights in things like images of public art and buildings. I remember a bunch of photographers complaining about it a while ago.
But then, you're not in NY, right?
