It is actually something that I would really want to do (in house, great city) and while it is my desired but not chosen practice area, the job description wants someone experienced in what I do (besdes the sodomy). Of course the listing is a month old. I hope its open. There is nothing good in NorCal for transactional types who arent IP sadly. What are inhouse hours at Ibanks like anyway? I know that back in the nineties remember at one prominent Ibank, there were at least a couple of the lawyers waltizing in at nine and out at 530. Can that still be the case?
1. Delaware
2. Good deal.
3. It is cool isn't it? I know they check the jobs to make sure they are still open, so if it is still listed on lawcrossing, it is still open. I'm glad to hear people are using it.
4. My hours are basically 9-5:30, some days I work later and there is a lot of travelling. I'd say most days I am here til 6:00.

But to answer your question, yes, there are still jobs where you waltz in at 9 and out at 5:30, and quite effectively accomplish your work.

Of course there are, but are they at Ibanks?

Some of these listings go back MONTHS. They are still open? I just found a sweet one in San Francisco. Not as substantively cool but in a much cooler city. And I vow to quit posting and IMing if I move. Like quitting smoking. New surroudnings, cleaner living.

BTW, since I've been back from maternity leave, I've had at least one headhunter call ewvery week. Two already yesterday. It hasn't been like this since I first started practicing.

So, I guess the economy really is recovering...

There are about a million jobs out there. I bet even Less could lateral out of his sleazy ass niche and save himself from going to hell. Litigators are in HIGH demand and there is a lot out ther efor corporate and real estate as well. And IP of course. Google has many many listings. Arent they still private? That would be a nice chunk of equity incentive if they go public.

It's a three-way tie.

Type Three
The Achiever
The adaptable, success-oriented type. Threes are self-assured, attractive, and charming. Ambitious, competent, and energetic, they can also be status-conscious and highly driven for advancement. They are diplomatic and poised, but can also be overly concerned with their image and what others think of them. They typically have problems with workaholism and competitiveness. At their Best:: self-accepting, authentic, everything they seem to be—role models who inspire others

Type Six
The Loyalist
The committed, security-oriented type. Sixes are reliable, hard-working, responsible, and trustworthy. Excellent "troubleshooters," they foresee problems and foster cooperation, but can also become defensive, evasive, and anxious—running on stress while complaining about it. They can be cautious and indecisive, but also reactive, defiant and rebellious. They typically have problems with self-doubt and suspicion. At their Best: internally stable and self-reliant, courageously championing themselves and others.

Type Nine
The Peacemaker
The easy-going, self-effacing type. Nines are accepting, trusting, and stable. They are usually creative, optimistic, and supportive, but can also be too willing to go along with others to keep the peace. They want everything to go smoothly and be without conflict, but they can also tend to be complacent, simplifying problems and minimizing anything upsetting. They typically have problems with inertia and stubbornness. At their Best: indomitable and all-embracing, they are able to bring people together and heal conflicts.

Translation: I'm completely mixed up.

(Actually, my experience with Harrisburg is that it's a pretty decent place, compared to similar capital cities that aren't big cities (Albany, Jefferson City, Bangor, Sacramento) - the food is pretty decent for the size of the town, and that counts for a lot).

What Enneagram are you?

http://www.enneagraminstitute.com/Images/8man.gif
The Powerful, Dominating Type:
Self-Confident, Decisive, Willful, and Confrontational

Basic Fear: Of being harmed or controlled by others
Basic Desire: To protect themselves
(to be in control of their own life and destiny)
Enneagram Eight with a Seven-Wing: "The Maverick"
Enneagram Eight with a Nine-Wing: "The Bear"

Profile Summary for the Enneagram Type Eight

Healthy: Self-assertive, self-confident, and strong: have learned to stand up for what they need and want. A resourceful, "can do" attitude and passionate inner drive. / Decisive, authoritative, and commanding: the natural leader others look up to. Take initiative, make things happen: champion people, provider, protective, and honorable, carrying others with their strength. At Their Best: Become self-restrained and magnanimous, merciful and forbearing, mastering self through their self-surrender to a higher authority. Courageous, willing to put self in serious jeopardy to achieve their vision and have a lasting influence. May achieve true heroism and historical greatness.

Average: Self-sufficiency, financial independence, and having enough resources are important concerns: become enterprising, pragmatic, "rugged individualists," wheeler-dealers. Risk-taking, hardworking, denying own emotional needs. / Begin to dominate their environment, including others: want to feel that others are behind them, supporting their efforts. Swaggering, boastful, forceful, and expansive: the "boss" whose word is law. Proud, egocentric, want to impose their will and vision on everything, not seeing others as equals or treating them with respect. / Become highly combative and intimidating to get their way: confrontational, belligerent, creating adversarial relationships. Everything a test of wills, and they will not back down. Use threats and reprisals to get obedience from others, to keep others off balance and insecure. However, unjust treatment makes others fear and resent them, possibly also band together against them. [hmmmmm.]

Unhealthy: Defying any attempt to control them, become completely ruthless, dictatorial, "might makes right." The criminal and outlaw, renegade, and con-artist. Hard-hearted, immoral and potentially violent. / Develop delusional ideas about their power, invincibility, and ability to prevail: megalomania, feeling omnipotent, invulnerable. Recklessly over-extending self. / If they get in danger, they may brutally destroy everything that has not conformed to their will rather than surrender to anyone else. Vengeful, barbaric, murderous. Sociopathic tendencies. Generally corresponds to the Antisocial Personality Disorder. [uh oh.]

Key Motivations: Want to be self-reliant, to prove their strength and resist weakness, to be important in their world, to dominate the environment, and to stay in control of their situation.

Examples: Martin Luther King, Jr., Franklin Roosevelt, Lyndon Johnson, Mikhail Gorbachev, G.I. Gurdjieff, Pablo Picasso, Richard Wagner, Sean Connery, Susan Sarandon, Glenn Close, John Wayne, Charlton Heston, Norman Mailer, Mike Wallace, Barbara Walters, Ann Richards, Toni Morrison, Lee Iococca, Donald Trump, Frank Sinatra, Bette Davis, Roseanne Barr, James Brown, Chrissie Hynde, Courtney Love, Leona Helmsley, Sigourney Weaver, Fidel Castro, and Saddham Hussein.

European girls are no more sexy than American girls. But good luck on the lesbian tour. Can you leave now?

learning something from the producers of Joe Millionaire, it seems:

Although last week's episode of The Joe Schmo Show concluded right before the winner of the fictitious "Lap of Luxury" show was revealed, tonight's episode of Joe Schmo doesn't appear to be the season finale. Instead, a two-hour episode will air next week. That may or may not be when we find out exactly what happens when Matt discovers that the whole thing was a charade. "Or maybe," as the Winnipeg Sun's Pat St. Germain says, "we learn that Matt was in on the joke all along. So much the better." (Considering production company Stone-Stanley's use of music from the soundtrack of their show The Mole, that could be likely, or else they're just cheap.) This Sunday, Spike TV will air a marathon of the entire series to date starting at 2 p.m. ET.

They announced this at the end of the show last week. I was irritated at being made to wait. Unfortunately, I've found the whole thing oddly compelling.

How do you think they'll follow up with this? A European version also?
