I've always wondered exactly who thinks this issue is grave, aside from the Washington Press and people who don't like Hillary to begin with.

There is more gravity in deep space than there is of this issue.

I will say that what I said about why journalists were getting prosecuted for leaks a few months ago applies here, too -- the laws surrounding the classification of material and the institutional incentives within DOJ mean that the former is going to chase anyone who leaves the wrong trail, and now that those trails are digital instead of paper, it's lot of easier to find the evidence that gets these investigations going, pointless as they are on national-security grounds.

I tend to think that he's more self aware and knows he's playing a celebrity marketing game (obviously, he's had practice) but sometimes what he says, how he says it and how his supporters react are so buffoonish, I don't know.

nah, Trump realizes what he says, and the harm that will come if his plan was ever effected. when Chauncey (hi thurgreed!) spoke of pruning back the garden to enjoy growth in the spring that was what he meant.

See the linked cartoon and the presence of "Entitlements Disastrous" and the "smart reasonable person" saying, "We are putting our children in peril if we do not... rein in entitlement spending."

There's nothing smart, reasonable or independent about buying into the right's attempt to use a crisis to permanently gut Medicaid and Medicare. Or for that matter do away with Obamacare cost cutting measures.

Just reading Donald Trump's interview with Hewitt, that he said was full of "gotcha" questions. Here's the one he had the most trouble with:

HH: But on the front of Islamist terrorism, I知 looking for the next commander-in-chief, to know who Hassan Nasrallah is, and Zawahiri, and al-Julani, and al-Baghdadi. Do you know the players without a scorecard, yet, Donald Trump?

Now, forget the Donald's self-professed ignorance - this reads to me like he just volunteered that he expects the whole cast of major terrorist leaders to be taken out before Obama's term is over. Isn't that the real story: Trump thinks Obama can decapitate terrorism worldwide in the coming months?

another reason I moved up from "commercial" private to owning my own jet. my attendants have to mix me a Manhattan in their job interviews.
