Yes. It's obvious I'm not a divorce lawyer.

Kind of an interesting article. The guy is having health problems and needs to do something non-stressful. And somehow he manages to meet a hot woman who is talented and interesting.

Maybe he'll be a stay-at-home, maybe he'll try to help manage/promote her career, maybe he'll find a constructive and non-stressful way to spend his time.

In many ways, it has the makings of a good story: Driven, successful New York lawyer. Wife leaves him for her trainer. Health is failing due to stress. Meets young, beautiful, talented woman. He's white, she's black, he's old, she's young, he's a corporate lawyer, she's a singer. Everything about this looks odd, but they fall in love and he uses that as a chance to revamp his life.

Is that really what's going on? Who knows. But why is it a given that he is an idiot with a midlife crisis about to ruin him, and she is a money-grubbing bitch?

Come on. Train wreck and it has nothing to do with her color. She wants him to fund her "career" (and clearly you haven't listened to her "music") and he's jumping into it with gusto. He's going to blow his wad on her because she gives good head and she'll move on. He'll blow his brains out.

I think we're coming up on a 10 year anniversary. I just paid to renew the domain, and I went back to check. I think the site opened in late March 2003, after some wandering around in the desert after findlaw blew up.

I renewed the domain for another three years.

I'm not making any assumptions. I've seen weirder hings happen. But there's a lot less opportunity for making jokes at his expense if you assume a happy ending (pi).

Sidd, really, that woman you "met" in Vegas doesn't love you, and she's not really a ballerina.

Yeah, this has true everlasting love written all over it. Perhaps I'm just too cynical. But I'm sure things will be different with Velvet, right?

Because this is the Internet? If you can't be bleak here, you can't be bleak anywhere.
