I can't believe I like that Chivas "Chivalry" commercial. Embarrassing.

I think it's the Cinematic Orchestra song.

I bet you like those Ketel One commercials too. "There was a time when men were men. When men had extremely large penises, expensive clothes, expensive but macho vodka, but still did not have to shave regularly. That time was last night."

That wasn't a commercial. You were dreaming about circle jerks again. I blame Shape Shifter.

"Quite unimpaired" is confusing usage? Perhaps if you've read exclusively comic books to this point.

ETA: I haven't driven loaded since I was young and incredibly stupid. However, on a 1.5, I think could operate in what I'd call a "largely unimpaired" or "inconsequentially impaired" fashion. "Quite" was perhaps a stretch. Where shall I mail your prize?

Cooperating versus not cooperating (or being percieved as uncooperative) makes all the difference in the world in terms of the deal the prosecutor will be willing to sign.

In fairness to Vick there, here are your options:

1. Do a little more time.

2. Snitch on members of the enthusiastically semi-automatic weapon owning groups who used to raise dogs to kill each other for sport and execute those who were sick, weak or merely bad fighters.

One's a bad year and a huge loss of money. The other's looking over your shoulder for the rest of your life. The guy understands the fear of hearing a linebacker's footsteps coming from behind his shoulder, so he had a pretty good frame of reference for what it would be like to have that paranoia in his head every day, everywhere. I think he took the only rational course.

While I am with you on most of this, I still think ncs' point about 1.5 is appropo.

Just what have you drunk to get to 1.5? I'd ask Hank how 1.5 is even possible, and I know he'd give 115% to getting me an answer, but I'm afraid he'd still fall short given performance of late.

It saddens me that you apparently have no idea why I took issue with the phrase "quite unimpaired." I would explain it, but that would be too depressing. Instead, I will find some associate's brief, change the restricive-clause whiches to thats, and then hit the scotch, with my sole comfort being that I know, somewhere in the expansive, well-manicured lawn that is Connecticut, dtb weeps with me.

I've always imagined dtb's place as not overly manicured like a golf course but more sort of horsey-chic, with nicely painted fences stretching as far as the eyes can see but grass that is left a touch shaggy for grazing, and a little semi-formal garden around the house with stone walkways with moss in the cracks between the stones.

And London Plane Trees. It's got to have London Plane Trees. On the crest of the grassy knoll that stretches down to the pond.

Assuming that we're using euphemisms, I generally imagine her place as the opposite of a touch shaggy and moss-covered.

Nicely painted fences? Check.

As far as the eyes can see? Not unless you're severely myopic.

Garden around the house with stone walkways with moss? Check (that's actually sort of creepy -- have you been stalking my house!?).

(Sorry I hit edit instead of quote above, but now it is fixed)

Short answer: Yes.

Longer answer: Like wifi in the US, I found many of the networks out in public in Europe to be hit or miss. I paid for one month's worth of additional international data so that I could also use 3G. I was there for a week and used not quite all of the $24.99 monthly int'l data plan (they base it off of actual usage, so there are differing plans based on how much data you plan to transfer). This plan only kicks in if you are using 3G or other AT&T service; wifi use is free.

Not europe, but on other international travel I used the wi-fi constantly. If you are in a hotel/conference center with wi-fi that you have to log into with a password you may want to ask for two logins. When I would switch from iPhone to computer I had to re-login and that was the only negative. It was hard to type in that 8 digit password on my iPhone without spilling my drink or setting down my book. A hardship I hope you can avoid.
