I think you are giving the writers too much credit. The time travel thing was used either to keep up the sci-fi mystery or as a device to explain the backstory (ooh, look, they flashed to see the statute!; ooh, look, here's Widmore as a young man, and "Ellie"!).

Those are all supposed to close. The one by the food truck hang-out in my neighborhood is one of the permitted ones (it is a general herbalist shop too and has been around for a long time). In answer to your post, there are currently about 30-40 places that sell pot within a 3 mile radius of my apartment. There will be 5-10 remaining in that radius if LA actually shuts the non-permitted ones down.

I've wondered what will happen to those places, especially given the pot legalization proposition coming up in November. Seems a shame for them to die off with only a 5-month gap and all.

I bet there's a joint closer than that most of the time.

You are most probably correct*.

*Although I was careless with my previous credit-giving, I think this post gives you proper credit for your theories.

No matter where the truck is, there's always a marijuana joint within 5 meters?

Based on the interview with the chef, it's quite likely.

We were pointing out that her estimate of "less than a block" was overly generous.

Yes he was, in both time lines.

Although if you mean that he wasn't raised knowing his daddy, that's true.

Actually, part of what we learned in the finale (or maybe in the previous ep) was that Ben was being long-conned by Smokey. It's not clear when Richard was taking orders from Jacob and he seems to have been the only direct link. Jacob was off weaving in the foot of statue and not getting involved -- letting free will prevail.

Me too. However, it seems I overestimated the number of hot co-eds who would want to pay me to watch them play nude volleyball.

say if i wanted to take the subway from brooklyn heights and get to the upper east side. what lines should I take? this is for a detail in a story. I need first station in the city plus the line.

The only trains that go to the upper east side are the 4, 5 or 6 (green)

Brooklyn Heights could be anywhere so the closest stop could be one of fifty. So get yourself to those green numbered trains.

Time travel, along with the dream sequence, are the most tired tricks of the sci fi hack.
