I'm with you on this one. Sexual chemistry is the charge in the air before anything really has happened. Whether or not it translates into good sex with someone is another question. And when it doesn't, I can be quite a letdown. But when it does... Amazing.

BnB is right. It's definitional. I would define that "charge" in the air as "general chemistry", in which both persons are drawn to each other on some subatomic level. The anticipation of sleeping with them may be why the general chemistry is interpreted as sexual.

This is why that "charge" can still exist AFTER you have had bad sex with a person. I have an ex who I still am VERY attracted to (i.e., the "charge" is still there) even though we never really had unbelievable sex.
