That's a step forward. Didn't your previous employer consider collars to look pretentious?

One previous employer considered chaps de rigeur.

The coaching staff that recruited him promised that it wouldn't be a problem. So one more example of shitty college recruiters promising things they can't really deliver.

Why is Marcus even making it an issue?

And why doesn't Mike just cut the school a check for $6m to buy out the rest of the adidas contract?

I'm bored by the interwebs. I think I'm ready to walk and interview now.

Strange, I said the same thing myself. Somehow I think we mean different things by the word "walk" though.

He's on scholarship at UCF, which is not known for hoops. Having his son where them would be proof-positive that is does not "gotta be the shoes."

At lest Mike gets paid to wear the Nikes. The kid just sounds like a spoiled brat (hi e/o!)

1. Because he's his father's son?

2. *That* is an excellent question.

Another excellent question; the contract does cover all of the UCF teams, so it's not just for the basketball team.

One of the women's tennnis players in my college class had a Nike contract while the rest of the tennis program had an adidas contract; they somehow worked that out so she could wear Nike shoes, but that was a while ago.
