Is there a specific name for idiomatic malapropisms? My family has been collecting these for a few years but I don't know what to call them. The one that started it all is "looking a gift horse in the face." Another favorite of mine is "the cat's piano."

We call them Hanks in our household, unless there are religious undertones, in which case they are Atticuseseses. Oh wait, you said idiomatic. Nevermind.
