make over time! the sig line seems sad now, like an old hippy with an Impeach Nixon bumper sticker on his VW van; you need to change that. I'm not sure the moniker or avatar works either- when was the last time someone posted an Ickes/ B.O.L piece? I'm not sure the newbers that have flooded in since we stopped posting things that might offend them will get your meaning; food for thought?

There was none of the "dignity in dying" crap, and he wasn't very comfortable. He just died, slowly, painfully, and unable to move or communicate. It was pretty horrible.

The hospice nurses were pretty, so I suppose that part was good.

I don't have any short-term plans. I'll stick around here for a bit to help my mom adjust, for sure. Shortly before my brother's Final Descent a former colleague had contacted me about a job that paid really well, the first of its kind for me. I had to turn it down. Given how difficult things had been for me for a time, that was pretty hard to do.

I'm thinking Dallas in the near-future. That doesn't thrill me. It kind of revulses me. Baby steps . . .

I'm terribly sorry for your loss. That's a horrible enough thing to see happen to an old person. I can't imagine watching that disease eat away at someone young, and who grew up with you.

Do the baby steps include getting one of the nurses numbers?

Sometimes the best thing is a virtuoso songwriter doing a song by another virtuoso songwriter. And it has the fb tie-in of being the closing song for The Big Lebowski.

I watched Ted the other day and thought she looked like a gecko that was being squeezed really hard.

See her in Black Swan and Friends with Benefits. The latter is really only tolerable because she's that hot and she works it, but she makes it really tolerable.

She was hot in Black Swan, but that movie was intolerably bad.

It was worth it for the scene with her and Natalie Portman.

No way, no how. I can find hotter lesbian scenes in 30 seconds on the Internet, without wasting two hours watching a crap movie.
