I'll take this one. Because animals view bilateral symmetry as a sign of reproductive health, such that humans displaying a high degree of it (Denzel Washington) are colloquially regarded as "hot," and those with a high degree of asymmetry (Lyle Lovett) are regarded as "not." Symmetry is the only objective way to predict a subjective response of "that's beautiful."

Hypothesis: Anyone who selects clothing on the basis of a professed love of "colors" has not had sex in the prior five years.

It seems pretty common that the tall female pro volleyballers here date and marry the tall male pro volleyballers. See, e.g., Kerri Walsh.

Prediction: It will come out that they were blowing each other and lost track of time. When this comes out, experts will say the practice is "not unheard of" during transcontinental routes.

I like to mix and match patterns, eg, checked plaid shirt with vertical striped suit, and horizontal striped tie. How does this factor into my relatively superactive sex life?

You can have three shirts hand-tailored for less than you'll pay for a Kiton, a couple for less than a Brioni, and Borrellis are just plain silly.

I do it from time to time. If your friend does it every day, or even more than twice a week, it's not style, it's an affectation.

Do you think the Sudanese get pissed that the Nile is associated with Egypt when most of it runs through Sudan?

I bet they do.

Just like when Canadians get mad when only people from the U.S. are described as Americans. Right, gwnc?

From now on, my stock answer to this will be "most of it runs through Sudan."

You should feel honored to have such insight into my creative process. Every one of my posts has a very similar backstory, FWIW.

My Sudanese friends turned me on to such a position decades ago. Then again, I don't indulge in tired clichisms like the one that started this thread, iykwim, fwiw, fyi.
