What I'm saying is you can make us Xtians work on Xmas, and we're pretty much without a legal remedy. It burdens neither our free exercise (if you are a government employer) nor our religious observations (if you are a private employer). What it really burdens is our "family time," and if you think a law employer can be stopped from doing that, you just failed the California Bar Exam and should go back to teaching at Stanford.

Merry fucking Xmas.

Um, my point was that I'm not (quite) *that* mean. I could give a shit* about what you are saying.

*see how nice I am? I referenced your favorite substance.

"could give a shit" means you care, at least somewhat. The proper explitive is "couldn't give a shit."

It's a common mistake that pampered raised-rich people will often make, when trying to sound tough.

Whiff. See, I included the word "shit" to make him happy, which means that I do give a shit.

God, Hank.

Him? isn't Atticus the sock that is pretending to be a girl, and is pretensious about cars and thinks airline security paws at his shorts?

edit: oh, and W-A-T-E-R

I don't think your deal is any good any more. I think puttin the hammer on Ole JC was an anticipatory breach of that deal.

no need to go after the whole race. TW is doomed to hell for his own action. One of his main commandments is "honor thy father," right? You've all seen him say mean post after mean post to me here, haven't you?

Our deal seems to be effed up too but I cannot figure out why.

You can expose the idiocy of both by responding with "Really, why?" or "You need permission?"

Can anyone explain the definitive Jewish position on the afterlife. I grew up believing it was that there is no afterlife, but that one lives on in the memories of his/her descendants (hence the remembrance ceremonies at certain milestones following a death... I think its one year after or something like that...).

But in the past decade or so, most Jews I've met have said they believe in some sort of undefined afterlife existence. A few have flat out adopted a notion of a very Christian-like Heaven.

As one who doesn't believe in the Christian notion of Heaven (I subscribe to the loose view of certain Native Americans that we go 'back to the earth' into some sort of peace with the greater world), I find this disconcerting. These cats were supposed to have written the book on which we Xtians based our gig... If they're switching to follow our stuff, the whole foundation is fucked up.

We may not believe in the afterlife, but we'll still bring clean underwear.

Heh. You don't usually see this shit with Jewish guys - its always the goyim with their weird rambo shit (or karate trophies/ sock-on-clothes-line-hanging pics). I've always fantasized about a super-toned guy with nice biceps who is a right-winger and happens to be Jewish. Well here it is. But it is Not. Pretty.
