I do not know if its the beer or the lack of good dental care or the gloomy weather or the in-breeding (I come from a long line of verging-on-horsey-face relatives, and there's only a tiny bit of aristocracy (illegitimate) anywhere in my ancestry). But given the pool, maybe she is considered good-looking over there.

I am struggling to name a good-looking English woman. Keira Knightley maybe? Kate Winslet? Victoria Beckham? no one there who comes anywhere close to the hotness produced by North America or many other countries.

Claire Forlani (the female lead in Meet Joe Black). Yum.

ETA: Ah, her father is Italian -- that explains it.

I shared your thought that maybe she's good looking for England, and for her age, but I think your perception of relative attraction of the English is just a numbers game. Fewer of them means fewer smoking hot ones to get famous.

In addition to the ones you've named, I'd add Kate Moss, Elizabeth Hurley, and Jessica Brown Findlay (Lady Sybil). Heck, Kate and Pippa Middleton aren't too bad either.

i looked at Britain's Next Top Model and there are plenty of beautiful women, although heavier on non-white British stock. Plus the Page 3 girls are always pretty.

I tend to agree with you when it comes to generalities about British women. But for specific examples, you're just looking in the wrong places. Try Page 3: Keeley Hazell, Sophie Reade, Kelly Brooke, Michelle Marsh, Lucy Pinder, Katie Price (who is a bit ridiculous, I agree), and Rhian Sugden. Keeley and Rhian are world class.

How much would I pay to see APOEL beat Real Madrid? Maybe $50. And by "see," I mean "find out that."

I too have only been to one - Corsica. Decide what you want, though. High season (summer) which can be a bit of a zoo, or shoulder (September), when I went, which was so less touristed that a lot of the cafes and restaurants were closed and the feel is sleepy.

Also, frenchy v. italie pretentious assholes? Both are often unfortunately true to type, but French food is so much better, so I vote Corsica for that reason alone.

Rent a car. Face death on roads cut into mountain sides that appear too small to allow your vehicle to pass the bus coming the other way. Every time you succeed you get another adrenalin release you can talk about over your many pastis (pastises?) that night.

WHAAAAA??? Corsican French v. Sardinian Italian? Or in general?

I lived in France for three months...and then went to Italy for 2 weeks. It wasn't even close (in favor of Italy).

I wouldn't react quite that strongly, but I'd agree that French food is not superior to Italian food.

I've lived in neither but visited both several times.

Had the pleasure of squeaking through this city briefly Monday night into Tuesday. Y'all have some pretty women and man do y'all love yer tattoos.

I could do without the bat watching though.

Plus it was unsurprisingly hot. I ran for a bit and woke up in the middle of the night with a leg cramp that made me feel like I'd been shot.
