From Bill Simmons:

One of the funniest moments in the movie goes to the funniest paragraph in any NFL Preview this summer: Sports Illustrated's "Will They Still Be Smiling in January?" feature on Donovan McNabb and Owens:

"The two have already discussed ways to celebrate touchdowns, but those plans remain under wraps for now. "We have a list," McNabb says."

I know this is crazy, but that single paragraph prevented me from picking the Eagles to make the Super Bowl this season. If you can point me to a Super Bowl team led by two guys about whom that last paragraph could have applied, please, let me know.

Oh, all right. Speaking of icons of fashion and culture, I saw Tyra Banks outside my building on Saturday. She was wearing a lot of denim. She is very tall, has a pin-head and huge forehead, but very pretty (duh) and phenomenal ratio. In fact, that's what went through my mind - "phenomenal ratio" (may 1000 curses rain upon Thurgreed's head), after I noticed the pin-head.
I saw her once. She looks normal-woman-hot in real life. Her hair was pulled back (you would think she knew that wasn't a good look for her). Her head didn't seem very pin-like (and believe me, I know a pin-head when I see one), but the ridiculous ratio was obvious even though she was wearing sweats.

In other words, style supercedes substance. Attention to detail is important, but unfortunately it often leads to mental myopia.
Those who have something truly substantive to write about generally have the attention to detail and mental discipline to write it in a manner that is is not so sloppy as to be distracting from the substance. For example, I would find many of Hank's late night drunken musings to be more compelling if I did not need to read each post four or five times to figure out if I can compose in my mind gramatically correct sentences that may be consistent with the meaning of the words he has spewed onto the computer screen. All that being said, if you are adequately stylish, I will generally be more forgiving when your substance is somewhat lacking.

This isn't the place to ask that. You should be asking Oscar directly if you want to replace RT, in the event she moves on.

She let me measure her head.* Trust me, it's a pin-head.

I assume you avoid chicken from large commercial farms.

Nope. Last night Daddy ate large. This morning I got sensible with what was left of Wonk Monster's half a steak. Like I said, I cook sensible, sometimes. :D

It's different this time. Have you seen the interviews he's done with Donovan? He's like McNabb's little bitch. Smiling and practically blushing whenever his new quarterback gives him the smallest of compliments. I've never seen a professional athlete act like that before.*

McNabb's got a powerhouse offense going over there. Did you see that pass he made running to his right, across his body as he was getting shoved out of bounds? Ridiculous. Can't wait to hear Limbaugh's** take on his numbers this season. Something like this?: He's only averaging 3 touchdown passes a game because he's black.

* Well, except for Keith Hernandez, but shortly thereafter, Elaine said he whipped it (it?) out (out?).

** And can you believe he's dating Daryn Kagan? I used to like her (actually chatted with her for awhile once). Wtf?

Not so. I let her measure mine and she brought her own DSLs.

Okay, who am I kidding? That's a total lie. I didn't let her measure it.

For the sake of Eagles fans everywhere, I truly hope this to be the case. All I'm saying is--lookout. It's hard to change who you are, and your true nature generally comes out when things aren't going your way. For example, I'm a cranky bastard, which I think is my true nature.

2.

I got through half of the first sentence. But I'm sure it was written perfectly.
