They are not the first board marriage, are they? I thought there was at least one other one (although they don't post here any more).

Anyway, Congratulations to Slave and Best Wishes to Catrin (you're not supposed to congratulate the bride, right? Where's DS when you need her?)

You are correct -- one of my proudest accomplishments was serving as their on-line Captain Stubing. Although I haven't talked to that other couple in a while, so maybe they both hate me now for their post FB lives of hatred and misery?

You are correct again -- that's one of the many things I learned from DS. That and that diamonds before six are vulgar. Or chicks who accept gifts of jewelry from Not Husbands are tramps. Something like that.

Anyway, maybe Catrin will mellow our boy out. And as a wedding gift, I promise not to post any Yankee Schadenfreude Haiku for the rest of the season.

I think the season will end for the Yankees in the next couple of days, so you should feel free to resume then.

Post amended by inserting after the word "together" the following:

"for more than one night"

Thank you,

Yes, the baseball Yankees of the American League (who are also the Yankees of the title of "Damn Yankees," the musical about Shoeless Joe from Hanibal, Mo.). Not to be confused with the Yankees of George M. Cohan's Yankee Doodle Dandy (who was born on the 4th of July), or the Yankees who Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro castigate, or the ones Scarlett O'Hara cursed after Tara burned in Technicolor.

Well, it would give Malcolm Glazer an excuse to put an american flag on the jersey.

I read acceptance as abstinence and thought this was a Palin shout out.

Wait! I always thought Catrin was an obscure, not-oft used Penske-sock, no? And Penske's a guy (sort of), and so is Slave (sort of)......so how is this same-gender marraige thing possible? Or is it a commitment ceremony? Not taht theres anything wrong with either.

Eh, either way, good on ya mateys!

question for RT

so years ago there is a Malcom in the Middle episode where the family takes an RV to Burning Man. They are seen as this wild performance art.

This year I saw there was an RV parking area. Did the show exaggerate or are RVs simply the newest thing?

Not in the slightest. There are and have been RVs at Burning Man for as long as the project has been going on. It's somewhat difficult to find an RV to rent within the 600 miles of Empire, NV in late August because of Burning Man.

Burners LOVE that episode.
