I think Marx predicted that capitalism would unleash this sort of race to the bottom. The lack of quality coffee and service eventually will prompt the proletariat to revolt and usher in a worker's paradise, or so the theory goes. I'm pretty sure that he says that Dunkin' Donuts will be the first ones up against the wall when the revolution comes.
