1. I've never been accused of being a wordsmith. It's an unfair and unkind thing to say and I want you to take it back.
2. I told you I would be straightforward. In this case, "throwing you a bone" would mean I wasn't being truthful. I said exactly what I thought in the most straightforward way. If you are upset because I didn't say that someone could find you attractive, I can't be sorry for that. Straightforward means straightforward. Ask a wordsmith.
3. You have basically said you would have posted exactly what I said, except you would have thrown in something that wasn't true. There was no blow to soften. I didn't say you were ugly. I said you were not pretty. If you have been walking around thinking you're pretty, then, I can see how your feelings got hurt. But I didn't embellish. Like I said, I was straightforward.
