Every case or deal or whatever is way overstaffed with hundreds of associates and paralegals whose sole purpose is to bill 18 hours a day, not to actually do anything that makes any real difference. So, yes, you have to work long hours, but the junior associates are doing paralegal work and the paralegals are doing secretary/document clerk work. It is the only way to keep the leverage ratio high and PPP through the roof.
