Out of curiosity more than anything else, and certainly not to simultaneously raise issues on two subjects where you are more qualified to speak than I, but have you accepted the idea that God is masculine?
With respect to my own religion, I try to teach my children that gender is irrelevant to God, and that to the extent we can claim to know anything about God, we should assume that God is male, female, both and neither.
