Uh, isn't Greece an illustration of what happens when you fund this year's expenses with TOMORROW's taxpayers' taxes? I can only defend a system where it's "this set of programs cost X; let's all pay X in taxes this year."

Tyranny of the majority can suck my dick. Funny how it only gets trotted out for outcomes that one opposes. You think it's an accident the Founders put this power in the political branches? Worse, the Congress? Even worse, the House?!?! Tyranny of the majority, please, unless you can find a constitutional provision -- which BTW is only yesterday's tyranny writ large.
