If anything might have stirred the slightest feeling that Newt was deserving of another look and a real attempt to suss out exactly what he's been saying lately, it would have been Charles Krauthammer* calling him a straight-up DEAD MAN for daring to talk off the points. But that didn't quite do it either. I just cannot care about the Newt anymore.**
Maybe I am still in mourning for the Trump run that never was. I was so sure he'd tough it out, too.
