One of the more amusing local incidents here was when Fidelity and Raytheon went to the state looking for tax breaks, saying it would let them create jobs. So the state passed the requested breaks but made them dependent on the company claiming the benefit delivering about half the promised jobs for the desired benefit. Guess what two companies haven't used those tax breaks?
