Me, I was on the subway when one lowlife pulled a gun on another lowlife. I was in the next car in less than a second, and really surprised by how quickly I ran.

In Nam, I was on a detail cleaning up potential Charlie recruits in a small village just south of the DMZ. I'd killed a young mother and her 2 year old twins, and was reloading to take care of the older kids, when the 12 year old ran outside and grabbed a revolver off my dead sergeant. The little girl got the drop on me and shot me in the penis.
At the MASH unit I learned I'd need a transplant and the only available option was from a horse that happened to have been shot earlier that day. Of course, that's another story.
