Well sure, but the way he played that anyone with half a brain knows he built his name with the UK Office (and Extras- 2nd season perhaps best comedy show ever) and ensured his ancestors will be rich forever with the US. I could guestimate an assumption that Americans are stupid enough to watch it, but When The Whistle Blows points to a similar believe about the UK audience.

But see, Ricky has kept himself sort of distant from the US and when I think of his work I think UK O and Extras.
