I think there's an element to what Sarno sais akin to what happens innately to the body when you have a brain injury or stroke. The body figures out other ways to get shit done and it does.

Running is not an option for me. The knees just won't have it, and the fact that I started weight training more heavily a couple years ago, which caused me to put on muscle weight, makes it even harder.
I really ought to swim. But the pool is always crowded, and often filled with old people. Maybe that's a sign...
