No offense, even though I'm clearly a big fan of deindividuation, but why are you constantly talking about this Moth thing? It's cool that you won, but you are literally the only person I've ever met who has any interest in it at all.

The reason people are meaner online-- most people, anyway -- is that they don't have the immediate and real fear of being smacked in the face.

that's because you litigate. The 3 most pleasant posters here are the 3 who do the most litigation.

FWIW, I've been to some spoken word events in LA. If they're done well, they're cool entertainment.

I've not heard Hank's story, but based on the Moth pieces I've seen I'm guessing he has a good Dude, I Almost Died narrative, and I wish him well in Manhattan.

You know who I mean right? Look at my FB. Her prime leisure activity is watching them all summer, looking out the front door. She chases them and last week caught one. I saw her carrying something across the room. Then she put it down and wanted to know why it wouldn't fly.

Think so, but I meant you have to have some stories, and of all the people around that crazy woman you used to work with you're probably the only one who could articulate the story to an educated audience?

Today I was doing a seminar at a Fortune 10 corporation and i couldn't get my big lips and tongue around the word "preponderance." After that i go, "you know, last night I won a storytelling contest, so I am articulate."

just sayin, it can help one in ones career.

Worse still, I think he said it was a gift from his wife.
