I was watching Dallas/Denver last night. Dirk picked something off the floor and whipped it into the stands. It seemed like something a fan threw at the floor, but that hardly justifies him throwing something into the stands does it?

Today's mail included a jury duty summons. But not just any jury summons, a grand jury summons. My county keeps a grand jury paneled (or whatever the word is) at all times and each one meets generally once a week for four months. I'm not sure if this means I definitely will be on the grand jury unless I find a way to get off or it it works like the regular juries where they call lots of people in but only pick some of them.

I'm also not sure whether this would be really interesting, really creepy or a huge PITA.

A buddy of mine got on a Fed Grand Jury and wound up having to go a couple times a week for something like three or four months. At first it was interesting. Then it got really, really old. His feelings were quite mixed, and he doesn't work. I imagine if one worked and had to do that, its amusing aspects would wear off much more quickly.
