So it turns out
That a weekend consisting of a friend's birthday party, a visitor from overseas, and too much football turns into a Monday morning hangover. Wonderful.

So, when I woke up this morning, I totally couldn't find my pal Skeeter. It turns out he was locked up on the roof!
There's nothing else going on around here, so I don't wanna hear your lip.

update
So some of you may remember that I had a guy I was dating and then Mr Man and I thought we might want to get some counseling/try to work things out and I solicited advice on what to do from the general lawtalkers community... Also you may recall that all the men (and some of the, uh, purported women) of the board told me that the new guy would be g-o-n-e if I told him about my situation with Mr Man. Just thought I'd let you know what happened.
Mr Man and I did couples counseling for a couple of months and just wrapped that up last week. We decided to just be friends. He is hopefully going to continue doing some counseling on his own to figure some things out that are holding him back from enjoying his life.
The new guy (gosh, he probably needs an online nickname, but I'm a bit scared what you folks will come up with) let me know when I broke up with him in July that he would be available as a friend or whatever I wanted and that he wanted to know what was going on with me. I dropped communication for a month or so and then ran into him a couple of times at lunchtime, which led to email exchanges and some catching up. He made it pretty clear that he was still into me. So a couple of weeks ago I took him out for his birthday and then when Mr Man and I dropped the counseling, I just started dating TNG again. Which has been fun so far, but is all very new.
So maybe in this particular case honesty WAS the best policy. Go figure.

Sorry it didn't work out with Mr. Man. Also sorry this poor guy's new nickname no matter how long he lasts is, "TNG."
The key was the two of you and TNG breaking up while you tried to work things out. That's a completely different story than him trying to stick it through while you did your thing with Mr. Man.
Anyway, looks like everything is resolved. Happy for you.

TNG will stick because it is short and easy, but in my mind, he will be Mr. Patience.

not "the guy who is still with ncs because she listened to Hank's advice, which is almost always right, we're lucky to have Hank here?"

I was thinking "Duckie" would work. Anyway, the important thing is that my Imaginary Little Sister is happy. At least it sounds like she is.
Though I do feel bad for Seņor Hombre. Hope it works out for him.

Re: Stuck on Repeats
One hopes that tonight's clusterfuck puts the referee lockout to an end. Of course, this had to happen the year the Texans finally play well. With my luck, the Texans will win the whole thing, and the fucking season will have an asterisk next to it.
ETA: HOLY SHIT.
