Point taken, but I'd have gone with Yogi Berra, since Billy's main role as a Yankee second baseman during the championship years was in keeping The Mick company on his benders.

Hard to say this year (and I'm a bit biased), but I'd go with UNC, Pitt and UConn before I chose Louisville. And I know Louisville just won the Big East regular season and tourney, but I think they're overrated. Besides, UNC shouldn't lose it just because Lawson sits out against FSU.
Whatever. I have no real complaints about the brackets. I just think Louisville is overrated.

does anyone know how far they take the 1-4 rank within the seeds? does it go beyond the 1s? like is MSU being the 2 in Louisville's bracket a sign they are the 4th 2 seed, or do they not bother that far?

In theory, yes. Supposedly it's ranked 1-16 among the top 4, so that overall #1 plays overall #16 if they meet, and so forth. But they can change it if needed to avoid conference matchups, home court issues, etc.

wait, you're saying MSU is the 1-no 2? or the 4 no 2? I would think overall no.1 1 should get matched with the 4th 2.

I'm saying that in theory they should be the number 8 team overall. As follows:
R1: 1(1) 8(2) 9(3) 16(4)
R2: 2(1) 7(2) 10(3) 15(4)
R3: 3(1) 6(2) 11(3) 14(4)
R4: 4(1) 5(2) 12(3) 13(4)
Now, it looks like 2 big 10 teams are 10 seeds (Michigan and Minnesota), so they couldn't be in the same "pod" as Mich St. So maybe there was some movement. Or maybe Duke, Okla., and Memphis had a better "body of work".

What's up with MSU's size? I haven't watched many of their games this year, but from what I've seen, they look really small. Am I missing something?

lots of 6'8" guys and a 6'6" guy who plays big, but the only real big guys are Suton (6'10") who plays more PF and Ibok (6'11") who plays, but not a lot. we just try to run people out.

Silly Things Kindergarteners Say
This weekend my pretend daughter had a friend over, and they were swinging on the swings outside. The friend, out of nowhere, says, "Sometimes, when I sit on the toilet too long, I get stuck in there. My butt gets really sweaty."
Um...
I guess laughing uncontrollably was not the right response to that disclosure?

How long did it take for the men in white jackets to come for you after you started laughing uncontrollably to things you heard pretend girls saying?
On the other hand, I often laugh at the things my non-pretend kindergartener niece says.

First possession, I pass him the ball and he goes through his legs, around his back, jukes the other teams best player out of his socks and pulls up in another guy's face and nails the shot. Everyone was shocked and the two of us ran the court the rest of the day. Probably one of the best players I'd ever played with. He could do it all. Pass, shoot, drive and rip guards in the open court. It's always satisfying when the guys on the sidelines are trying to gerrymander their team for next game to get you off the court and it doesn't work.

And that, folks, is the story of how Thurgreed Marshall met Hank Chinaski.

I think St. Mary's was jobbed, and I know all the arguments, so no need to repeat. As for overall No.1, I have heard so-called experts tout UNC, Pitt, Louisville and Memphis, but no one pick U Conn without Jerome Dyson.
Offshore lines right now back UNC (the numbers are sell/buy prices on teams as if they were stocks paying $100, $50, $25 and $25 for 1st through 4th place):
[NCAA] NORTH CAROLINA 35 40
[NCAA] PITTSBURGH 20 24
[NCAA] LOUISVILLE 18 22
[NCAA] CONNECTICUT 14 18
[NCAA] MEMPHIS 14 18
[NCAA] DUKE 9 12
[NCAA] MICHIGAN STATE 7 10
[NCAA] WAKE FOREST 7 10
[NCAA] OKLAHOMA 7 10
[NCAA] MISSOURI 6 8
[NCAA] VILLANOVA 5 7
[NCAA] GONZAGA 5 7
[NCAA] UCLA 4 6
[NCAA] WASHINGTON 4 6
[NCAA] SYRACUSE 4 6
[NCAA] KANSAS 4 6
[NCAA] PURDUE 3 5
[NCAA] FLORIDA ST 2 4
[NCAA] WEST VIRGINIA 2 4
[NCAA] ARIZONA STATE 2 4

Don't care much about St. Mary's. If you don't have a clear argument that you're a top 35 team, then pound sand. Would say the same of Arizona if St. Mary's made it over them.

This is true. But UConn pounded Louisville earlier in the season and I don't think Dyson accounts for a 17 point difference (and if I remember correctly, that game wasn't really even that close). UConn will be dangerous, but I don't think they or Louisville can win it all.
And Duke will be out as soon as they face an athletic team. I would love to see them against Memphis or Louisville, but will settle for them losing to 'Nova.
