Intriguing email

This morning I received the following missive in my inbox from a Mr. Yuan Jinyang:

I have a transfer proposal worth ($45,275,000.00) for you.

And that was it! So many questions: why the parentheses? Why 45.275 million instead of 50 million? or just 45 million? Is "Yuan" a real first name? Isn't that like calling an American kid "Dollar"? Anyhoo, intrigue.

This morning my wife tried to buy a decorative pot from a homeless man. It was in his shopping cart.

TM left the law and has a start-up selling asbestos-lined, flameproof underwear.
