At the founding, the states had the authority to require men to buy guns and muster for militia service and we all seem to have got along just fine. If you don't like the policy Congress makes, vote for a different one, but there is nothing in the Constitution that says that Congress can't force people to enter into contracts if reasonable necessary and properin furtherance of an enumerated power.

as many people out of state people die on interstate highways as out of state buyers that buy ollie's barbeque sammies, so the funeral industry is certainly IC.

That the real disconnect. It doesn't seem far reaching at all, especially not compared to Raich. So they can make you buy stuff. So what?

It's a strange sense of liberty that is offended at the notion that the federal government has a power that the states have.

Where were the conservatives who thought the sky was falling when the Supreme Court said the federal government can criminalize possession of pot?

Not really. I wouldn't know you had a position on Raich if you hadn't been asked, whereas as you seem to think HCR is the biggest threat to the survival of the Union since the Battle of Yorktown.

It's all over but the balloon drop

Mr. Frothy Mix drops out, leaving the field to Mitt Romney. I'm sure you're all surprised.

White Night

All I case say is that Santorum is no Huckabee. Huck should have done this one. Maybe there's still time for him to come in?
