I think Kuato died a grisly death. But I'm reminded of Arnold's facial expression at the end of the movie when he's struggling to breathe after having being blown out onto the surface of Mars.
It's kind of like when Hank encounters his keyboard.

If that's not a call for Hank's wife to use her photoshopping skills, I don't know what is. Would be the best avatar evah.

I have a Volvo XC90, which I like well enough, but it's really expensive to maintain and goes through tires like crazy. I get only about 12,000 miles to a set of tires, which is (obviously) ridiculous.
So, as I'm considering a replacement ride, what sort of thing would y'all recommend?
These are my requirements:
- Cannot be a minivan
- Cannot look like a minivan
- Must feel solid, and not like a tin can or similar
- Must have 3-row seating (space for 2 adults and 4 children)
- Must have biggish cargo space in the back, but I can probably get away with less cargo space than what the Volvo has
- Should not eat tires for lunch
I am sort of thinking of the Mercedes station wagon thingy (the bigger one), though the cargo space is a little snug. I will not buy that Mercedes SUV (don't know the letter/model).
Help me Lawtalkers, you're my only hope. (Said in voice of Barbra Streisand during her audition to play Princess Leia.)

I have the R-Class diesel and love it! Am nearly 6 ft and fit comfortably in 3rd row, provided 2nd row seats are not all the way back, plus they have a depressed floor which adds comfort. can also get in and put kid in 3rd row car seat comfortably....

Are his arms long enough to hold a sword out far enough past his ginormous belly?
TF is altitude? I thought La Paz was prohibited for WC qualifiers or something.

Clark County's Finest
Did the FBers who recently went to Vegas report back on their trips?
I'm going for a weekend, and I haven't been in a while (except to change planes).
Anything new I need to see or do?
I won't be a high-roller on my government wages, but I'd like one exceptional dinner.

Haven't been to Vegas recently, but I would have figured that with all the money sloshing around there, it would be a very expensive place to have an exceptional meal. The demand curve is just higher there.

Re: A fashion board in which sometimes we'll remember to post spoiler warnings
I am considering a new car. The emminently practical 1999 Taurus has a lot of miles on it, and my habit of playing bumper cars in the parking garages is starting to show some wear.
So, anyone have suggestions on a new car? Generally, it should be practical for a large active family while simultaneously fulfilling the usual mid-life crisis concerns. I want it to say to the world, here comes a rich, virile, powerful, overworked, pale-faced father whose once bright dreams now must be satisfied by overspending on a machine!
Remember, while currently a cultured urban sophisticate, I like to flaunt a little redneck field cred now and then, so a truck's not out of the picture. Must be American made.

Mini-vans seem kind of pedestrian and middle class. Maybe if it had a cool paint job. And a sun roof.
