Anyhoo, notwithstanding that brief moment of verklemptitude over the epic battles of my youth, all this reflectiveness has me thinking. For a change. So as I was sitting in my corner office today, looking out over the Sound and the Mountains, a crystal goblet of '88 Petrus in hand I realized, that ever since I started working in the law, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that all of all y'all have encountered me on these internets, that it has been on the worst day of my life.

 | Makes as much sense as that damn Star Trek movie. As one who watched the OS at his grandmother's house when first aired, because that was the only color TV in the family, I can say that , NG, DSN, Enterprise, whatever, never rang hollow.

But JJ Abrams is a charlatan and a hack.

Will Fugee indict a ham sandwich?

Today's mail included a jury duty summons. But not just any jury summons, a grand jury summons. My county keeps a grand jury paneled (or whatever the word is) at all times and each one meets generally once a week for four months. I'm not sure if this means I definitely will be on the grand jury unless I find a way to get off or it it works like the regular juries where they call lots of people in but only pick some of them.
I'm also not sure whether this would be really interesting, really creepy or a huge PITA.
