I mean, when the characteristics of my town/part of the country get sorta mocked and exaggerated in a book, I also join with the literary establishment in expressing outrage ... Uh, nevermind.

Not Bob is just defending her because he wants to "compliment her hair" as the kids say. I'd be down for that.

I might be going to Australia, certainly to Perth. Any advice on a few other places to go?
 | I travel abroad a lot. I have never taken the time to get the expedited airport security, and I've never regretted it. FWIW, I am often flying business class. I did have one miserable re-entry not too long ago, in Seattle, but I was flying with my family so the expedited thing wouldn't have helped.

You need to get a visa to go to Australia -- easy to get, but better to do it in advance.

Plus, Bug's father deserved.... something bad. Maybe not that, but still. The security guard that Marlo abused (and later ordered killed, which you knew he was going to do when he had that interaction) just wanted a tiny bit of respect.

Shit plaintiffs' lawyers say. {Spree: photo of a big black dildo; possibly NSFW} My question is, what possible set of facts would show the baggage handlers targeted them for being gay?

If ever faced with this situation, I would hope I could muster the dignity to say very loudly, "Lawrence, isn't that our big black dildo? All the big black dildos look the same on the luggage carousel." |
