Re: Stuck on Repeats

So I was on the road listening to the Outlaw Country station on the satellite radio.

Sebby, what is your answer for Dylan's Rainy Day Women? The horns are pretty integral to that.

Of course I don't really want to hear that, other than that I'm sure you can come up with a more amusing, and cohesive, Anti-Horns-In-Rock thing that you've come up with to the present.

It's certainly more amusing than blah blah and TM's Cinemax porn and Hank's desperate pleas for external validation.

As up-front payment for hearing your theory, I offer up Townes Van Zant's version of Dead Flowers [sniff].

Rainy Day Woman is not rock.

Thanks for the message. Being forgetful, an occasional reminder is useful.

I just gave $50 (not being all rich and corner-officey like you).

I am hoping we still have a use for money in a few days.

Late to this party, but I really like that movie.

Me, I'm on the hook from a World Series bet. By reading your post, I realize there are advantages to living in an area without any competitive professional or college sports teams.

I was just rubber-spraying a leak near the chimney. A small bird (sparrow, I think) zipped in the garage and flew up into the attic. I opened an outside window assuming it might be lost and want to get back out. It just sat there nestled on a bed of insulation and looked at me.

It's hard to grasp expression from a bird, but if a thought bubble were to have appeared over its head, I'm sure it would have had something like this in it: "Fly out that window? Like fucking hell. I'm doing the next 48 right here."

ETA: I hope I have power to crank "Gimme Shelter" at 11 as the brunt of this thing lays down on my place. It'd be a rotten shame to have an act of god shred my property to ribbons without at least being able to enjoy it with proper background music (I already have the scotch).

Sure, we'll have a use for money in a few days. It's just that the currency will be made up of cartons of Parliaments, cases of Poland Springs, and boxes of Type D Duracells.

Not true! The Lynx won the championship last year and played in the finals against this year. And the Minnesota Stars (NASL soccer), won the championship last year and were within penalty kicks of it again this year.

Minnesota sportz rulez!

word is you ordered a diabetes testing kit, because you just heard the end of the commercial where it said "You don't have to "prick" your fingers anymore?"
