Lots of civil litigation settles.

These weren't even Wal-Mart shoppers and it was still scary to listen to the stuff they said.

I suppose. I took you to be complaining that the tigers didn't get the angels.

I think you may have just earned an invite to join the Sebastian Dangerfield Chapter of the International People Are Fucking Idiots Club.

How is your drinking?

the best trial lawyer i ever met- he did this twice, that i saw:

a case is heading to trial, but there are settlement discussions- at some jam-up in the talks, he'll say to the business guy, "let's go for a walk." we walk around the city, and at some point he says, "we'll you and the other guy can reach some business agreement, and you have certainty- OR- we can hand your companies fortunes to the next 8 people we walk by. It is a sobering way to convey the risk.

Uh...general comment. If I had to pick out who it was directed to, it would be Fugee, who said some thing like, "your curve is too high" or whatever.

You can be successful (as always), but no Final Four this year. I think Kansas and Kentucky will both be ridiculously good. That said, guard play reigns supreme in the NCAAs and according to that article (and it's suspect since UNC didn't even crack the top 20 with what many believe is the best recruiting class), you guys have the best backcourt.

AL playoffs- would be RS v. Yanks except they are same division- so the wild card bounces to LA? I fear the Yanks, but I fear Fenway more. The Tigers NEVER win there.

You should worry about Minnesota first.

And in Detroit it takes three hours to pass 8 people on the street, so the business guy was exhausted too. Cunning.

It's hard to tell with Hank, but aren't you saying the same thing?

Is drinking part of the initiation?

I figured there would be some sort of ceremony, but assumed it would be some weird melange of a five-figure deposit, burning some lace curtains, forced internment for an evening with a bunch of humanities professors drinking brandy, and a set of mock negotiations with a Blue Shield claims adjuster.

there is no way we collapse. there is no way we collapse. there is no way we collapse.

actually the problem the last week is that Chicago fell right on its face. if the sox keep lying down, we'll be fine- 7 of our last 10 are against them.

It's actually a bit more like the Three Stooges joining the Woman Haters club, but I cannot say more, having sworn an oath.
