The main complaint I had with the Samsung was the text messaging, which was a total pita, involving "logging on" to the internet every time you try to send or receive a text. My understanding is that other people with newer Samsung's didn't have the same problem, so they must have fixed it. You'll know the first time you try to text if it hasn't been fixed. If not, ditch that thing. Take my word for it.

Yes, the texting is fine on the newer models. It's the volume that is a problem. I've never said "Pardon?" "What?" "What was that?" so much in my life. I guess it's good preparation for when I'm wheelchair-bound at the nursing home.
