Apropos of the cold, if you're picking up take-out at a Thai restaurant, wearing a balaclava (because it's below zero), and you see a woman eating dinner by herself, reading a Douglas Adams book, don't be surprised when she looks at you like you're a crazy person after you walk by and say "Don't Panic!"
The balaclava was covering my entire face except for my eyes and nose. She probably did not realize that I am Mostly Harmless.

Maybe she was worried that you weren't carrying a towel.
eta: I think the coldest day that I've run was 8 degrees. I'm unlikely to break that mark anytime soon.
