I try. This is my favorite wine event of the year. The fingers on my right hand are violaceous by the end, and many of the wineries are handing out their extra bottles for free. Plus, lots of druuuuuunk chicks.

But -9 with no wind is better than +15 with it.

Apropos of the cold, if you're picking up take-out at a Thai restaurant, wearing a balaclava (because it's below zero), and you see a woman eating dinner by herself, reading a Douglas Adams book, don't be surprised when she looks at you like you're a crazy person after you walk by and say "Don't Panic!"

The balaclava was covering my entire face except for my eyes and nose. She probably did not realize that I am Mostly Harmless.

I've run at +3, but that was the coldest. And I was in my 20s then, youthful and adventurous. 10 is probably about it for me, too.

I have recently taken up running again in an effort to drop a few lbs prior to the wedding.

It was in the 50's this morning and I was COLD.

I don't know how you people who live where it is really cold manage to run outside in the winter.

Maybe she was worried that you weren't carrying a towel.

eta: I think the coldest day that I've run was 8 degrees. I'm unlikely to break that mark anytime soon.
