Because Jackson makes all the same mistakes, with little of the upside? For the last two years, they have played close games only to fall behind at the end and need to move down the field and score. If there's enough time, they could give AP the rock and hope to get there. If there isn't Jackson throws a pick. At least now the chance of pick vs. winning drive should be at least 50/50.
Obviously I haven't mentioned Sage, as I haven't seen much of him lately. But he hasn't impressed in the past.
