The question is, where on the field does the ball have to be for it to be a bad decision? You don't think the 30 yard line is too close. I might be okay with him making the decision (with a different play called) on the Colts' 45 (mmmmmm). I guess you're saying the risk is too great to make that call if you're closer than 28 yards out. If that's what you believe, I'm just wondering how close is too close in your opinion.
