You're dealing with a fraction of a fraction of the market. There are indeed folks trying to find ways to use CBD as a medical therapy. Virtually none can attract funding because of the difficulty of patenting in the area and the limited value of regulatory exclusivity. The epilepsy approval, for example, relates to two rare forms of epilepsy and comes with warnings (so the trials are showing that there is a cost to using even that weak form of CBD). Approximate annual cost is north of $30,000.

By the way, I was wrong that there were two approvals; there is one approval and another submission working its way through the process. Sorry for jumping the gun.
