I'll take that bet. Anything he lets slip will be wrong because he doesn't read and is incapable of listening.

Re: I used to be disgusted, and now I try to be amused.
I think that Melania Trump's speech was intentionally torpedoed by a Republican operative. It's not just the plagiarism, although that certainly is a part of it. It's just that the writer Rick Rolled it for good measure: "He will never, ever, give up. And, most importantly, he will never, ever, let you down."
I mean, pretty much all of the Trumps would read off the Teleprompter whatever is on there, per Anchorman. Hell, even Reince Prebius threw in a "Thank you, Mr. Chairman" that he was clearly not intended to speak, which was almost, but not quite, as bad a when Hillary read "[Sigh.]" off of hers. I cannot wait for Donald Trump's speech about his mother from Kansas and father from Kenya.

I am! Although, candidly, I don't even know where to begin. But somehow this band seems to capture the absurdity of it all. The Fun Company. Funco! With that goofy smiley face on the label, it reminds me just a bit of the old Newbury Street Comics logo. I know absolutely nothing about these guys and my limited internet search has found zip. But here is their big hit, Zambezi, Pts. 1 & 2 for your Daily Dose:

That actually happened? I saw a tweet about it and assumed it was a joke.
Funny thing is, the sideshow of Melania's speech is probably good for the party in distracting from the rest of the mess.

It's 50-50 now whether I will make it. It's next Tuesday night.

Hence the separation of powers between the registered parliamentarian and the recording secretary.

So as it turns out, Alaska had enough signatures from the state delegation, but couldn't deliver them, due to the secretary not being in the designated place to receive them (hiding and guards). There was an agreement that they would let Alaska introduce the petition from the floor before the vote (after the 4 hour delay to intimidate delegates). But somehow, they never turned on the Alaska delegation chair's mic, so that's the rest of the story as to how the RNC ran roughshod over the delegates, just to avoid a roll call. It is very clear that the RNC violated its own rules yesterday. From what I understand, Iowa joined Colorado in walking out.

Alaska apparently is also pissed that all of their delegates were counted for Trump. I'm not getting what was up with that ruling.

The most appropriate aspect of the RNC is the reported norovirus outbreak. Heck. It makes me want to throw up, and I am certain I don't have noro.

I understand that for folks like me this is just the ultimate snark fest, and, dammit, I'm not going to resist....
But do you think there are people this really plays to who are still in the undecided camp?
