I am sick to death about talking about this and having it always turn into this big blame game. At this point, it doesn't matter who is responsible for the fact that the levees failed or who is reponsible for the fact that 4 days have gone by and relief efforts haven't been effective enough. What matters now is that the situation get fixed. That those still in need of evacuation get evacuated. That supplies get to those who need them. That decisions about rebuilding be made rationally and thoughtfully. And that some semblance of law and order be returned to the areas where things seem to have gotten out of control.
And (cue KumBaYa) each of us should be trying to figure out what we can do to help rather than taking issue with what is being done or what hasn't been done already.
