Flinty has gotten me addicted to the tournaments at fulltiltpoker.com this week, so I'm afraid my novel-writing efforts are suffering. Blame Flinty. Another reason for dtb not to like the damn moneky. She was going to be my pick for editor!!

ncs is too shy to brag, but she finished in the money in a tournament last night. Excellent. I took notes and I have some pointers/observations if you want them.

Hey, what can I say. I'm looking to add more youth to the roster, and if that means people get hurt, what can I do? You still have shifty.

Is one of the pointers that I played way to tight once it got down to 3-handed? Because I kind of knew that at the time (though it helped me not at all to know it). Thanks for the moral support though. I was the only one there with a fan club.

Yes. I currently am a dual citizen of Canada and the EC, and I have two passports. My ex-husband is a citizen of the US and Canada, and he has a passport of each country. It's very common.

Well, that might be a little true too, but you were the short stack. My comments were more on your betting. In pots where you wanted to push people out (your drawing hands), you didn't raise enough to move people out and either win the hand there or limit your opposition. At the end, you were reduced to less than 5-6x the big blind, and your moves should have been all in, rather than a minimum raise. The other problem is that 5-6x the big blind still isn't really enough to scare any other players out with an all-in move. 10X is probably enough.
But all in all, you played well, made use of the breaks you got. Certainly lasted longer than I did in my tournament. Congrats!
