Being a grown up--poll

Sort of reminded me of a conversation I had with another friend of mine as we were walking through the appliances section at Best Buy and ooohing and aaaahing over the Dyson vacuum cleaners and that mega-dryer.

The first time I really felt like an adult wasn't when I graduated from college or bought my first car or got my first apartment or got my first job or even when I bought my house. The first time I really felt like an adult was when I started researching hot water heaters.

There is no reason in the world to know the difference between one hot water heater and the other or to really get excited about the energy saving qualities of a tankless hot water heater unless you're an adult. No one else cares.

So, when's the first time you really felt like an adult?
When I realized heath insurance wasn't something with which you are born.

Oh, God, yes. We're talking about a totally outrageous paradigm.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.
