This brings up an interesting difference between lawyering and similar jobs and other types of jobs. Whenever someone at my wife's fashion company gets quits or gets let go, they may get some severance, but they're NEVER permitted to set foot in the building beyond the end of the day. And they're usually escorted out by security.
